Magnesium AZ61A
Description: Magnesium Grade A261A
Magnesium is welded using GTAW (TIG), welding processes. Harris offers TIG welding consumables in a variety of sizes. Since magnesium rapidly oxidizes when melted proper shielding gas coverage is important. Surfaces and edges adjacent to the weld should be cleaned prior to welding. Conforms to AWS Specification A5.19.
